It's 12:02 AM.
If you know me at all then you know that I am 100% morning person.
And while 12AM is technically morning, I still consider it a time for sleeping.
It is now 12:05AM, and I am still quite awake.
Normally, I would be tossing and turning and moaning in bed right now because, for Pete's sake! I need sleep!
But tonight, I don't give a hoot. (and I wouldn't even if I was a night owl)
Tonight, I'm too overwhelmed by how blessed I am.
In fact, I was considering shouting from the rooftops, but I'm pretty sure no one would be in the mood to rejoice with me if I did that.
God has absolutely blown my mind with His goodness and blessings recently.
He'd brought a particular Bible verse to my attention a few weeks back, and He has been teaching me so much since then.
The verse is this:
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
You see, I hadn't been seeking Him with even half of my heart.
And boy, was my life feeling overcast!
But He showed me that I need to be constantly and consciously seeking Him.
So that's what I've been aiming for,
And since that's become my goal for each day, He has certainly taken away some of the things that had been distracting me before.
The things that I'd known were getting in the way of my serving and loving Him, but didn't know what to do about.
"The things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His Glory and Grace"
Actually, I was tossing and turning in bed.
I was wondering if I could hold in the joy until tomorrow.
Then it occurred to me: why hold off on praising the Lord?!
To Him be the glory forever and ever! As in, right now and tomorrow!
And the day after that, too.
Today I was blessed beyond comprehension.
I was given a gift that I know required a sacrifice on the part of multiple people.
And I know that it was given from the hearts of those who dearly love the Lord.
It was given to glorify Him just as much as it was given to assist me in my travels to Australia and Thailand.
So please join me in praising The Lord for His goodness.
That's what it starts and ends with.
I'm going to go try the sleeping thing again :)
